Two New Grip: Kaleido 2.0 and Pulse
Two grips, two different approaches to the same goal: more control
In a MTB setup, grips are one of the most underestimated contact points. Yet this is exactly where control, precision and confidence are built—especially when the trail gets rough.
With Kaleido 2.0 and Pulse, Switch Components offers two different interpretations of the same concept: improving the connection between rider and bike, without compromises.
Kaleido 2.0
An evolved classic, with better feeling where it really matters
Kaleido 2.0 is the direct evolution of the original Kaleido grip.
Not a simple redesign, but a focused upgrade on what truly counts when riding hard.
The first key element is the new rubber compound, now even softer. The grip adapts better to the hand, increases traction and helps reduce fatigue during long rides or on rough terrain.
The second major improvement is inside.
The internal plastic core is no longer continuous, but partially relieved in specific areas. This allows the rubber to be thicker where the hand rests, improving comfort and vibration absorption while maintaining the stability of a Lock-On system.
The result is a clear and immediate feeling:
-
fuller grip
-
increased comfort
-
more natural control
Kaleido 2.0 is designed for riders who want a solid, uniform grip and instant confidence as soon as they wrap their hands around the bar.
Pulse
When shape makes the difference
If Kaleido 2.0 focuses on compound and structure, Pulse takes a different path: shape as a functional element.
Its defining feature is the raised front line, specifically designed to interact with the rider’s fingers.
While riding, it remains almost unnoticeable, naturally fitting between the knuckles. At the same time, it plays a crucial role: it “anchors” the hand, increases resistance to slipping and reduces unwanted palm rotation on the handlebar.
This results in a more stable and precise grip, especially in demanding situations such as hard braking, compressions or steep, technical trails.
Pulse is the right choice for riders looking for:
-
immediate response
-
consistent grip in aggressive riding
-
a grip that works with the hand, not against it
Two grips, one personal choice
Kaleido 2.0 and Pulse share materials, diameter and weight, but they are made for different riding styles.
-
Kaleido 2.0 → for riders who want maximum comfort and a softer, more progressive and uniform feel
-
Pulse → for those who prefer a more structured grip, with a physical reference point that increases control and security
There is no absolute right choice.
There is only the grip that best matches your riding style.
