The weekend of October 5-6 saw the Isola d'Elba transformed into a battlefield for Enduro, with the Italian Championship closing the season in style. It was a race that put everyone to the test, a final challenge before saying goodbye to the competitive year and facing a well-deserved winter break. By now, all the most important races at world and Italian level have concluded, and the riders have battled among the fantastic landscapes of Elba to bring home the tricolor jersey.

We at Switch Components were there cheering for our athletes! Tommaso Francardo, Nadine Ellecoste, Tommaso Calonaci from the Abetone Ancillotti Factory Team have been amazing this year, taking part in all the stages of the EDR and the first edition of the world championship in Canazei. After such an intense season, a great performance was expected... and they did not disappoint!

Our Nadine ended with a bang, taking home the Italian title in the women's category. A well-deserved victory, the result of a lot of work and determination.

Tommaso Francardo, on the other hand, had a great start, winning the first two special tests, but in the third - the longest and most difficult - he lost a few seconds too many. This allowed Mirco Vendemmia to come back and snatch the tricolor jersey from him by a hair's breadth. Tommaso therefore placed second, but it didn't end there: Tommaso Calonaci, another of ours, also had a great race, finishing third and reaffirming his talent.

We are super proud of our boys! Nadine, Francardo and Calonaci gave their all, and even if we would have liked to bring home the men's tricolor as well, we can only be satisfied. Now it's time to rest and recharge the batteries for the next season. Have a good winter everyone!
